Tudors History day at Green Lane

3rd October 2016
Makers of History visited Green Lane School to work with pupils in Key Stage 2. Key Stage 2 classes have/will cover aspects of Tudor life within their history curriculum. Class 3 are focusing on Henry VIII and his six wives throughout Autumn term. This was the key focus for the Tudor workshop taking place. Each of the pupils had an amazing experience and thoroughly enjoyed the morning. They learnt how to greet their Queen Catherine Parr and all about the role of Knight Jack. Pupils engaged in practical activities such as clay crown making, Tudor dance and joined in waving ribbons and supporting their friends in a theatre production. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning and feedback from staff and pupils was amazing. We are all so proud of how much the children learnt and have loved hearing about their favourite parts of the workshop.
